Hi there!
My name is Jeroen Egge a.k.a. Yung Roen, an all-round studio professional based in Amsterdam (NL).
My main focus is producing and mixing guitar driven music, but I also enjoy working as a recording and mastering engineer and as session guitar & bass player.

How I work
With over 10 years of experience in the music industry, I like working with both big international music professionals as well as local upcoming talent. When I’m working with an artist I really focus on their vision and defining their sound and identity. I often find that this part of the creative process is overlooked.
Working with upcoming artists and helping them develop their sound is something I enjoy very much. When you come to me with an idea, I can help you from start to finish: from writing and arranging, to producing and mixing as well as distributing and marketing.
My sound
I get inspired by all types of music and I don’t work genre specific. Most of my work over the last years has focused on rock, pop, hip-hop, singer songwriter and americana. My style is influenced by American rock. Not overly edited but still with a live vibe to it and an overall smooth and polished sound.
Online mixing process
When we start our collaboration I want to try and understand your vision and the goal of the final product. Once we agree on the sound, you will receive a first edit within 4 to 5 business days. We then discuss changes that need to be made. The final edit will take another 4 to 5 business days.
Most of the online mixing is done from my home studio. I also work freelance in a couple of studios in the Netherlands. I try to match the right studio to the sound of the artists I work with.

Over 10 years of experience
At the moment I work mostly from my home studio, from which I do my online mixing, mastering, production and session work.
Next to this I work for independent artists and record labels in various studios, such as Ijland Studio (NL), Electrosaurus Southern Sound Studio (NL) & GAM Studios (BE).
Until their closing in 2020 I worked as head producer and engineer at Studio Americain Amsterdam (NL).
Before this I worked at The Recording Studios (NL) as a producer and engineer.
I graduated from SAE Amsterdam as an Audio Engineer and received a bachelors in Music Production with honours from Middlesex University England.
